We the members of Shepherd of The Ridge Lutheran Church Youth Group are joined together in unity of faith in Jesus as our Lord and Savior. As members of His body, we seek to carry our His Word, reach out to other youths in our church, community and worldwide, in an effort to share the love of Jesus and spread His Word.We currently offer youth activities for ages 5-18. Activities are planned according to elementary: kindergarten through 5th grade, middle school: 6th through 8th grade and high school: 9th through 12th grade. The older youth elect officers who are responsible for running a monthly business (planning) meeting. The youth assist the congregation whenever possible. Some annual events include, working at our annual rummage sale, Pancake Day breakfast, and the spring/fall cleanup of the church grounds.
Annual activities include World Vision’s 30 hour Famine, and the Ohio Districts Jr. and Sr. High weekend retreats. Additional activities include lock-ins, working at Second Harvest Food Bank in Lorain County and holding food drives for various non-profit organizations such as Neighborhood Housing Association in Lorain and Community Care in N. Ridgeville.
During the summer we have planned trips to places such as Cedar Point, water parks and more! Devotions and bible studies are included in meetings and planned activities.

We will meet from 7:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. on Friday, May 6th to do our Mother’s Day craft. Pizza, snack and drinks will be provided. We will be handing the craft out to all the ladies on Mother’s Day after the church service. All youth available need to be at the back of the church prior to service letting out. There are rumors of a movie too! Wow, dinner and a movie.
Those attending had a great time atr the Easter Egg Hunt, and plans are already in the works for next year. Thanks to all who helped out.
Due to muddy weather, we had to have the hunt in the sanctuary. Hopefully, next year's will be outside.
